Thanks for my Child or Children!!!

This past Sunday we celebrated a very special day “Mother’s Day.”  I pray that each mother across the nation felt loved and blessed on Mother’s Day.  It may have been a flower; massage; card; poem; dinner; play; a movie.. etc. that made your heart smile and reassured you that you are loved.  It is always heart warming to feel appreciated and reminded that your tireless work as a mother does not go without notice……

As I celebrated Mother’s Day, my husband and children went the extra mile in making me feel appreciated.  I was so thankful to God for all the blessings and then the Holy Spirit drew my attention to Psalm 127:3 – “Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him.”  I began to thank God even the more, recognizing in my spirit, that my children are gifts from God, in and of themselves. I meditated on how God blessed me to be a procreator of life as I endured pregnancy; labor and delivery and now I am charged with the awesome responsibility of training them in the ways of the Lord… always keeping in the forefront of my mind that God gave the irreplaceable gifts to me! Allowing me to have children and be a mother was part of God’s divine plan, as he is the giver of life. So, for that I am forever grateful!!

Mother’s I encourage you to take a few moments this week and acknowledge that your children are God’s gifts to you, a heritage, and a reward; and are to be accounted blessings, and not burdens. They bring love and unspeakable joy to the family as we stand together and watch them evolve into what God created them to be.  Also, when we train them according to God’s word they return all the blessings of nurturing; financial support; guidance, protection.. etc.. to their Mothers and families.  They remember the Lord’s commandment to “Honor their mothers and Fathers that their days may be long.”  Although Social Security; Medicare; Medicaid; 401k’s; 403b’s and all other retirement plans may fail…..  The blessing of children that God gives to Mothers is one of the greatest gifts of all!  May God continue to Bless you “Mother!”

Prayer:  Lord in the name of Jesus, I come to you with thanksgiving in my heart for the gift of Children. Thank you for bestowing such a great gift upon me.  Lord, I pray that you continue to build me as a Godly Mother and enlighten me with your knowledge, wisdom and understanding.  Lead, guide and direct me as I train them in the way that they should go according to your will and strengthen me to deny all things that may harm. hurt or hinder them from meeting their destiny in you.  I thank you in advance for answering this prayer in Jesus Name. Amen.
